Latino Interactive run a salsa event at the Med Bar in Southampton every Sunday from 5pm to 10pm. I’ve been meaning to try it for some time as Tropical Sunday at Drift has been a bit disappointing lately in terms of attendance by good salsa dancers. Having had a good time this week:

- Event 2017-07-13: Salsa & Bachata at TLC in Southampton then Salsa at Drift in Southsea! 13th July 2017
- Event 2017-07-14: Salsa Bachata Social Club July Party in Reading on Friday! 14th July 2017
- Event 2017-07-15: Salsa at the Guildford Saturday Show & Fiesta! 15th July 2017
I was wondering whether to make Sunday a day of rest when at 6:45pm I remembered about the Med Bar which had been recommended to me by Corinne Braund when I met her at TLC on Thursday. 2 hours of salsa from 8-10pm is certainly worth while so I made my preparations and was on the way by 7:15pm. There were many people there and I recognised a few from Southampton University and TLC. I had a wonderful time dancing salsa, bachata & kizomba with some cool salseras for two hours! It actually went on until 10:30 but I left at 10pm as my salsa soul had been more than satisfied in many cases by some extremely talented beginners. Also my shirt was a bit wet to say the least as hadn’t expected to get quite so hot at a local event so I didn’t take a change of shirt with me!
