Event 2017-09-23: Take Katie to Uni and Salsatricity at East Barnet!

The day went well getting Katie‘s stuff over to her new flat at the University of Hertfordshire with the able assistance of her mum & partner. It took a long time because there were so many students moving in on the same day and there were car holding areas to take care of the resulting long queues of cars packed with everything but the kitchen sink though it appeared that some had brought that too!  Katie hugged her mum & partner goodbye leaving me to drive Katie to the nearby Asda to do some shopping for the week ahead. Afterwards we found somewhere to eat before we parted. Katie couldn’t come to Salsatricity because she had unpacking to do and a freshers welcome event to attend. Salsatricity will be using the university’s students union venue Hutton Hall on 7th October so we will meet again in a couple of weeks to dance the night away together! Actually I’ll be seeing her the coming Saturday because we will be celebrating the 51st anniversary of Botswana Independence in Greenwich together. I’ll be going early to help with the preparations of course.
