bulletAustralian National Mapping Agency - searches the Gazetteer of Australia 2000, which is a compilation of over 267,000 geographic names in Australia provided by members of the Committee for Geographic Names in Australia.  See also Environmental Online Databases.
bulletCanadian Geographic Names - from the records of the Geographical Names Board of Canada.
bulletGetty Thesaurus of Geographic Names - the TGN is a structured vocabulary containing around 1,000,000 names and other information about places. It includes all continents and nations of the modern political world, as well as historical places. It includes physical features and administrative entities, such as cities and nations. The emphasis is on places important for art and architecture.
bulletGIS WWW Resource List - an index of web resources which are likely to be of interest to the GIS community including a GIS Dictionary.
bulletNew Zealand Geographic Place-Names Database - covers all official place names and it is designed to correspond with the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946 process.
