It’s Píďa‘s birthday today and I’m reminded of the excellent dances we used to have together in 2015. I so glad a mutual good friend made a video of one of them – makes me smile every time I come across it!

Philip Wake You overwhelm me but it gives me so much pleasure to know that what I decided to do 2 years after I began salsa dancing in 2003 was successful. I realised that lessons were not teaching me how to dance to the music and lead my partner to dance with it & with me too.
So I observed how performers danced socially and went out salsa dancing 5/6 times a week to get the practice I needed with lots of different partners to achieve the results I was looking for.
I don’t actually know what I do any more – I just do it – but I know that it’s working when the lady gives me that special smile – just like yours in that video!
Having you actually say it so genuinely & beautifully like that on facebook is something I will treasure for the rest of my life!
