2019-08-03: Bournemouth Salsa Festival – Saturday Party Night at The Pavilion

Enrique Perez & Damarys Farres organised this popular weekend event at various locations in Bournemouth from 2nd to 4th August 2019. My interest is in the Saturday Party Night to be held in the Pavilion Ballroom from 8:30pm to 4am. Previous experience tells me that the best time to arrive is around 10pm! Event 2018-05-13: Salsa at Bar So Bournemouth on Sunday!

Enrique Perez & his partner  Rob Carroll have just started running another excellent evening of salsa at Bar So in Bournemouth every other Sunday. There are classes from 6pm to 8pm follow by social dancing until 11pm with an excellent selection of good salsa music by DJ Enrique which will motivate you to dance the evening away. On Saturday I began thinking about doing the Sunday party night at the Mambo City 5* Congress!

The £25 ticket includes the Sunday afternoon social as well as the party night but does not include performances. Incognito's Putney Salsa Club at  Dance Lab Ballroom Hall, 63 Upper Richmond Rd, London SW15 2RD - run by Jeff Tarpinian.

Superb professional dance floor for 200 dancers with an amazing sound system and air conditioning that works - normally used by Dance Lab for professional ballroom events.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Philip Frost and Miguel Mayana run a monthly salsa event at The Bedford in Balham which is one of my favourite venues. The main room for salsa is ideal: wooden dance floor, capacity for 250 dancers, excellent sound system, air conditioning that works and  free parking nearby for 250 cars! There is one other room devoted to kizomba and the event is called Que Rico which means to a Spanish speaking salsa dancer something like: Isn't it wonderful!
