50/50 Salsa & Bachata and BOS – Bachata On Saturday host a salsa and bachata party at The Union Ludgate on the 3rd Saturday of each month. The wooden dance floor has a capacity for several hundred dancers, a good sound system and adequate air conditioning. The atmosphere is friendly as you would expect from a venue inhabited mostly by students.
This month the venue had to be changed to Gabeto Camden which is a bit smaller but just as friendly.
Venue: Gabeto at Stables Market, 23 Chalk Farm Road, Camden, London, NW1 8AH
Parking: Free parking is available in some nearby roads after 5pm but beware of roads where it’s residents only before 11pm as traffic wardens are rampant in the area!
Tube: Chalk Farm is 500m away.
Format: 50/50 salsa and bachata with a specialised salsa DJ back to back with a specialised bachata DJ.
Entrance: £10

Philip Wake Parking was a bit of a problem but I had a bit of luck. I found parking which was limited to residents before 11pm and as it was 10pm I thought I’d be safe. However, as I walked away a traffic warden warned me not to park there! I then tried a loading bay just outside the market and as I was walking away a traffic warden started to make notes by my car. I said: “I haven’t parked yet!” and he relented telling me that I couldn’t park there. Then I found a street where the limitation was 6pm instead of 11pm so I was ok at last! Having sorted that out I had an excellent time at Gabeto London with 50/50 Salsa & Bachata – lots of excellent dances with many lovely young ladies including one of my favourite salseras Sasha who made my night complete! 🙂 ❤️
