Day 116 Salsa Walk

Walking so fast yesterday seems to have disturbed the crossed over toe on my left foot. The first little toe crosses over the big-toe because I wore split sole jazz trainers that didn’t have enough space in the front region for my wide feet when I first started salsa dancing in 2003. The high heels of jazz trainers made it worse by forcing more weight onto my toes thus compressing them even more into a space not wide enough for them.

As I couldn’t find my gel toe separators, I thought I’d better give walking a rest today and order some fabric/gel big-toe straighteners instead so that the first little toe can’t cross over it so easily!

I did get some exercise though – disposing of the hard pieces of the old sofa I broke up with an axe on Sunday. I had to book a time slot at the Eastleigh Recycling Centre 20 miles away because there weren’t any available at Gosport and completed the disposal for less than the £25 that Gosport Council wanted – to come and collect it in 6 weeks time if I was lucky – in only 3 days. All it cost me was an Axe for £13.50 and the diesel to travel 40 miles which is around £4.

So:

– £17.50 instead of £25

– 3 days instead of at least 6 weeks and

– I’ve still got the axe!
