50/50 Salsa & Bachata and BOS - Bachata On Saturday host a salsa and bachata party at The Union Regents on the 3rd Saturday of each month. The wooden dance floor has a capacity for several hundred dancers, a good sound system and adequate air conditioning. The atmosphere is friendly as you would expect from a venue inhabited mostly by students. Every first Friday of the month there is an excellent salsa event at The View in Brighton run by Carlton Thomas. The social dancing is from 11pm to 2am which is my interest but the classes which are very professional start at 9pm.
