Philip Wake There were a lot more people doing the lesson when I arrived at Slug & Lettuce Fareham around 9pm including some people I knew from Portsmouth which was good to see. I had a quite few dances with various ladies but kept on going back to dance with Heather to help her rotate clockwise (reverse cross body lead) as well as rotate anticlockwise (cross body lead). Then I showed her the ‘waiting for a bus technique for weight transfer and she got it straight away. It made her more balanced and lighter to lead and she no longer had a problem with clockwise rotation! I finished with a superb dance with the teacher Jessica – fast and furious – just how we like it!

Philip Wake I went on to Drift arriving around 10:30 and had a really good time. I had lots of dances but the best were with Sarah and Edyta – particularly the last dance with Edyta as it was frenetic to say the least! I decided that should be my last dance but couldn’t find my coat on the way out so mentioned it to Hazel hoping it would turn up later.
