50/50 Salsa & Bachata and BOS – Bachata On Saturday host a salsa and bachata party at The Union Ludgate on the 3rd Saturday of each month. The wooden dance floor has a capacity for several hundred dancers, a good sound system and adequate air conditioning. The atmosphere is friendly as you would expect from a venue inhabited mostly by students.

Parking: Free parking is available in nearby roads after 7pm but note that this venue is inside the ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) so check you car here before travelling all the way there.
Tube: St Pauls is 400m away, City Thameslink is 100m away.
Format: 50/50 salsa and bachata with a specialised salsa DJ back to back with a specialised bachata DJ.

Philip Wake Oh dear 50/50 Salsa & Bachata – having posted that I discover the social dancing is from 8pm to 12:30 and getting there before 9:30pm would be almost impossible for me because I have to drive from Gosport at a non-peak travel time, park near Scala and then take a bus the rest of the way to avoid paying a ULEZ charge of £25. I suppose dancing from 9:30 for 3 hours would work as long as everybody stays until then!
Philip Wake Well I managed to get there by 9pm and have 2.5 hours of excellent dancing before I had my an imaginative and dramatic dance with Emanuela Iafrate which surely qualified as a last dance by which to remember the evening! ❤️
