2019-11-30: Salsatricity at All Saints Church Hall in Barnet London with Katie!

The name Salsatricity speaks for itself – the atmosphere is always electric at any of the high quality venues they use for their nights full of smiling dancers! See their facebook page Salsatricy for more information about the amazing salsa events that Heather Ross organises. I usually aim to arrive around 10pm for 3 hours of social dancing after the lessons from 8-10pm! 🙂 See also their website at salsatricity.com

Philip Wake What a fabulous night of dancing Katrinah and I had tonight at Salsatricity with our host and good friend Heather! Katie got back into the flow after the first few bars of our first salsa dance and by the second dance she was following my entire repertoire with the elegance of a professional dancer! It’s the way we interpret the music together which makes it so much fun – each sequence of moves fitting in with the story being told by the music. The music even tells me when to lead multiple spins in each direction and Katie how to execute them. It also tells me when to end spins which as important to their beginning so Katie knows what to expect next! Katie had lots of good dances with other men while I had lots of good dances with other ladies so we were both exhausted by 12:30 and decided it was time to go. We had one last dance though to a track which inspired me to lead Katie to spin 10 times in each direction and inspired her to execute them beautifully! We’re planning to get together again on New Years Eve but we’re not quite sure where yet? â¤ď¸
