The Drift Bar in Southsea is the venue for Bailando every Thursday run by DALE Afro Latin Entertainment from 10pm to 3am. When I arrive around 10:30pm for the salsa dancing upstairs there are usually plenty of people who attended the earlier bachata lessons from 8:30 to 10pm staying on for an hour or so to practice to bachata music. 2018-07-21: Bailando on the Pier at Southsea!

DALE Afro Latin Entertainment were the first to arrange a salsa event at South Parade Pier since it was closed for refurbishing in 2012! It's features a magnificent dance floor for up to 600 people, an excellent sound system, air conditioning that works if you stand just under one of the blowers and a large stage which on this occasions was used by a lived band and our DJ for the evening. Having been to Bar So in Bournemouth on Wednesdays over the Christmas/New Year period (20Dec, 27Dec, 3Jan, 10Jan)  and enjoyed it so much I now alternate between the Irish Club and Bar So every other week! Tonight it's the Irish Club!
