Enrique Perez & his partner Rob Carroll run an excellent free evening of salsa at La Tasca on Saturdays once a month from 10:30pm until 2am but unfortunately La Tasca is closing soon and they were unable hold the event tonight at La Tasca. The Cabin in Poole instead was available for this month only while a new venue is being sought!

Event 2018-01-13: El Bembe Salsa and Bachata Welcome 2018 Party!

Salsateca London and Ola Latina run a regular event called El Bembe' on every 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month at The Bottlescrue, 33 Foster Lane, London EC2V 6HD. There is parking in the streets nearby from 7pm onwards.  Salsateca London and Ola Latina host the event and the venue offers plenty of space for dancing in the main salsa room formed by 3 rectangular areas surrounding the dining tables down the middle of the venue. I missed last month because of my attendance at the Celebration of the 51st Anniversary of Botswana Independence Day! with my daughter Katie but was determined to attend this one which featured many attendees wearing Halloween costumes - mostly the girls with their amazing makeup which did not succeed in making any of them less attractive! 😉

Mambo City run a monthly party at ULU (University of London Union) from 20:30 to 02:00 - social dancing from 10pm onwards. See the facebook event Mambo City@ULU for more information. The main salsa room is spacious with a stage for the DJ and is always very busy. There is also a dedicated kizomba room in the reception room where the bar is with the usual student prices.
